It's always hard to give relationship advice when one does not know both people or the full situation. For me, trust is really important, I'd rather know the full details about everything and then go from there. I find if someone is honest with me it's easy to forgive them more quickly. He might be dishonest or he might just be afraid of your reactions, I'd say if you can figure out which it is you will be able to make a final decision more easily. I think the most important thing would be to remember not to have a relationship just because you don't want to be alone. Again that's just from my point of view..
