yeah, the mall is usually kinda important for finding clothes that you want.

for boys, I definitely think the wannabe-hipster look right now is plaid. I think of those silly flannel plaid shirts as lumberjack shirts. so I walk around campus and count how many lumberjack shirts I see. sometimes I see rainbow lumberjacks and it makes me giggle. also those weird beanies that sit back on the head are popular.
personally, I think there's a fine line between vintage and trashy, and that males should take fashion tips from GQ, not the local thrift store. I love GQ. I kinda want to buy a subscription.

as for womens' fashion, since I go to a church school all the girls dress relatively conservative. this past year I noticed a lot of calf-high boots. mostly of the cowboy boot variety, but some were other styles too. long dyed-blonde hair seems to be decently popular as well, but that might be the overabundance of students from California. I really don't know a lot about womens' fashion because I don't care about it as much.
