Everything moved at fast pace for Quintus. Ciaran gets toppled, Mirri and the newcomer join the fight, and pretty soon, Quintus himself was pouncing into the crowd. Most of them seemed to attack Ciaran, which let him make steady work of some of them, but in the back of his mind, he knew that Ciaran had to be free of the rats if they were to overtake these things. Quintus ran towards Ciaran after killing his second rat, swiping the ones that tried to get in his way as he moved hastily towards his friend.
