Quiet Man Cometh
We're all mad here.
I skipped my prom, but by then I was a mature student (high school went slow for me from my health) and didn't partucularly care to go. Didn't bother with graduation either. I didn't socialise that much in college either, since living in a conservative town at the time, most everyone else my age was married with kids. I got to know people better through my step sister though and it helped when I found the local geek hangout. None of my friends up there are from the college though.
A language is par for the course in arts degrees. There is usually a course or equivalent that you have to reach so you can always look up what level of French you need to know and challenge the course. In Canada, high school French up to grade 12 will cover the requirement, but I haven't taken French since grade 6 (not usually allowed by my counsellor was nice and got the requirement dropped), hence two years of Swedish instead.
Tea?
