I'm no psychologist, but it can't be a healthy mind that actively wants the world to end.

And thanks to living in the information age, these people can find each other and propagate their insanity together, which seems to serve to multiply the suicidal, apocalyptic zealotry that gives these people a sense of meaning in their lives.
