Hello there! I've seen a lack of Trisphee RP, so why not eliminate that? Users appreciate RP. Plus, you can't have an event without a little RP...well, you can, but it's dreadfully boring business that way and you can't have that. This is quasi-canon, since we don't know much about the worlds and I doubt there are random inns that only sort of exist that occasionally kidnap people in canon. Until proven otherwise, I'm assuming your avatar is your character. OOC chatter is allowed, but please make an IC/OOC distinction very clear. There's no word requirement, but words are generally lovely, yes, except when they're not. Due to the magic properties of the end, everyone can understand each other regardless of language. Play nice, my lovelies! Or don't, that's cool too.
The Inn Between Universes
A tale about buildings and the people they just won't let go of.
Some in these three worlds are ruled by the progress of technology. The Quesarian queen, tyrant of the forest paradise, sits on a throne built from crystal-profits, while the Kalin humans are awash in toxic waste. Even the Alti’ui, pure and primitive as they try to be, are not immune because their existence, in addition to their very lovely wings, is defined by technology or, more accurately, their lack thereof.
Some in these three worlds are ruled by magic. The Athiyk know its value and power, while the Ascent Arco, masters of the elements, are shaped by it. It’s something many pursue, while others resent its impact on their lives.
Still others are ruled by gods. Some on Deivai whisper stories about moon-pale creatures with fierce eyes that serve an apathetic god, while others recite tales to their children about a people split by sand and water. So many people, regardless of origin, have fought and killed for divine and corrupt deities.
With that being said, there are a few places that don’t glitter with technology, aren’t formed by magic, and have absolutely nothing to do with gods. These are the places in between reality, the nonsensical stuffing between what exists and what doesn’t. Nothing is supposed to live here, but occasionally travelers pass through places they can’t quite explain when our worlds and the unexplained briefly overlap. Why? Perhaps these places get lonely.
Some of you have just woken up in a strange bedroom that, despite having every fixture you’ve ever wanted, just feels wrong, while others of you decided to take shelter for the night in an abandoned building that is suddenly completely different. Still others have just woken up at the fully-stocked (but what it’s stocked with is a mystery) bar and are likely wondering what exactly happened last night. There is no particular reasons why you’re here. You just are.
This little pocket of unreality likes to shape itself as an inn, though the layout is relatively simplistic in comparison to real inns. The upper section is comprised of a network of twisting halls and small but comfortable rooms. While the layout of these seemingly infinite halls will likely make perfect sense while you’re walking them, there is a good chance that you’ll later realize that you’ve passed the exact same rooms on separate floors and that your room is in a different place each time. The lowest floor is wide and open, comprised mainly of a completely empty lobby and a vast restaurant with an impressive bar. There are no waiters and the menus are blank, but if you venture into the kitchens, you’ll discover cans of what might be meat but could also be vegetable matter. They’re edible, but certainly not delicious.
If you pass through the wide doors, you’ll find yourself in a small courtyard. There’s a small pool of water like a moat and what’s probably a flagpole, but after a few feet, there is absolutely nothing; not air, not earth, not space, not anything. You probably don’t want to step out into this. Trust me, it won't end well.
So now that you’re here, what are you going to do? Are you going to look for answers or are you going to wait until you find yourself back in reality? It’s up to you.
