When I played DnD, we never really got in-character. The atmosphere was never serious or focused enough for that, not to mention, most of the group was more interested in the game aspect than the story aspect. Half the time when we played, we didn't even bother naming our characters. Whenever I tried to run a serious campaign, it never lasted. It would always devolve into idiotic antics that brought the game to a screeching halt.
Then again, I'm not sure I'd be all that good at RPing at a table. I like the online format better, as I can put more thought into my character's actions and dialogue.
Cold silence has a tendency
to atrophy any sense of compassion
between supposed lovers.
Between supposed brothers.
