Oh God that's hard question since it's been a WHILE since Iread a book for either school or for fun...I think it was [non-manga] The Stepford Wives (short book with large texts, it was a book of disappointment, I didn't like it, too slow in the beginning then as you keep reading it keeps going more faster without having much of a plot, then at the end it went too fast that I had to read the last part in the end to get it and the town won over the person. I still think they brain washed the women, no robots or anything like that.

The movie was switching what happened to the wives from being brainwashed to being robots that pops out money like an ATM machine from their stomachs
