Holden's vampire instinct kicked in when he smelled blood. His teeth grew and pierced the woman's skin. He kept drinking almost killing the girl when his own instinct kicked back in and he stopped, pushing the woman away from him. He cringed as his wounds healed as well as his organs. After about ten minutes his body was back to normal. He opened his eyes and looked at Solomon, "It's not her fault Solomon, I went against Master Jean-Pierre. And I got punished for it." He said said weakly. Holden finally got it in his head that he can't help everyone, and if he did he would get punished by every council.
