Holden and Melody appeared in front of two big wooden doors.

"Master Jean-Pierre is waiting for you Holden Evans." A tall man said as he opened the doors.

Holden walked in to the middle of the council room, he put Melody down. Bonjour Maître Jean-Pierre, qu'est-ce que vous vouliez me voir sur monsieur? (Hello Master Jean-Pierre, what is it you wanted to see me about sir?)" He asked with a bow.

"Eh bien je vous remercie d'être venus aussi vite que vous le pouvez. Maintenant, j'entends dire que vous avez tué quelques-uns de mes vampires. (Well thank you for coming as fast as you could. Now, I hear that you have killed a few of my vampires.)" Jean-Pierre said crossing his arms.

"Um .. Oui maître que j'ai fait. Je ne pouvais pas supporter de voir Melody abusé. (Um.. Yes master I did. I couldn't stand to see Melody abused.)" Holden said standing up.

"Eh bien ce n'est pas votre jeune appel. C'est mon pays, pas le vôtre. (Well that isn't your call fledgling. This is my country, not yours.)" The man said as he stood up with red eyes.

"Maître, je suis ... (Master, I'm...)" Holden started to say but was cut off.

"Tais-toi jeune. Vous avez trois choix. Un: Tuez la jeune fille, deux: vous tuer, ou trois: prendre une punition. Et si vous vivez à travers la punition que vous arrivez à garder la jeune fille. Elle ne nous appartiennent plus, le Conseil français. (Shut up fledgling. You have three choices. One: Kill the girl, two: kill yourself, or three: take a punishment. And if you live through the punishment you get to keep the girl. She will no longer belong to us, the French Council.)" The man said with a evil smile.

"I.. Prendra la peine .. Maître Jean-Pierre. (I.. Will take the punishment.. Master Jean-Pierre.)" Holden said defeated.

Jean-Pierre and the whole council burst out in a tremendous maniacal laugh. "Luke, réglez le garçon pour sa peine. (Luke, set the boy up for his punishment.)" He said pointing to Holden.
