She gripped the hem of her dress tightly, looking down at the floor. She was about to speak when suddenly, another man appeared in the room. She jumped, recognizing him from the incident at the restaurant.

Solomon crossed his arms, looking at Holden, "Don't you even think about it Holden. Every day, hundreds of children are abused. It's a fact of life." He pointed to the girl, "She is just another statistic. I really don't want to make you learn this lesson, but I will if I must. Cruelty is in our nature. Get over it." He looked to the girl, "Quel est votre nom?(What is your name?)"

She jumped a bit as the taller man addressed her. He was much scarier than the boy trying to help her, "M-Melody Rousseau.." She kept her eyes glued to the floor, wanting them both to go away so she could just crawl in a hole and hide.
