I can honestly say I know exactly where you're coming from. My mom found out she had lung cancer in August and she refused to quit smoking. She went as far as hiding tons of packs every where in the house. She passed away in November, and when my father and I cleared out her home, we found 5 stashed packs of cigarettes. All I can say is, look at it from her point of view... She has lung cancer, which really limits her. Smoking is about the only fun/joyful thing she has left to do to be happy about. If it makes her happy, best not to harp her about it and this point in time. Her mortality won't change even if she did stop... I learned that the hard way with my mom.
