William nodded and leaned back so he could stare at his ceiling. "No slayers know about you. Having emotional ties to anyone is forbidden. If they had known, they would have come after you and killed you to punish me." He grimaced, not liking the idea at all.

"There is no problem in keeping you a secret from them, unless I do something to make them suspicious. Which I never have." He paused. "How to keep me a secret from other vampires seems to be the problem then. So... if I were to be a regular human we could continue on as before?"
