William was shocked by her kiss. It threw him for a moment and he was unsure of how to react. "Yes... yes you have." He said softly, staring down at her. His eyes darkened with attraction. He wanted to kiss her then, pull her closer to him and hold her there. That is exactly why he let her go. His arms loosened around her and he pulled back.
