The letter read:

Solomon, I'm sorry for acting that way last night. I just don't know why I wasn't able to pull the trigger on her. Actually I do, it’s because I have a good heart. Well at least that's what Alicia says. I know you were there at the hospital, I’m not mad at you. In fact if I did inject the air into her IV she would be dead and you wouldn’t look at me the same way ever again. I could not live with that, you mean a lot to me. I know the past twenty four hours have been bad, I know they aren’t what I had in mind. I also want you to know that even though I went crazy, you kept me sane. You are a great man, I would understand if you wanted to move on to find someone who isn’t damaged. You deserve more than a rich kid who has mommy issues. Whatever you decide I will respect you no matter what.

Alicia nodded as she went to sit in the other chair. She already read the letter so she knew what it said. She was proud of Holden he said his feelings and that he would let Solomon go if he wanted to. She sat there with a smile as he read the letter.
