((Darnit! I had a decent reply written and lost it when I pressed send ;-; Well, this won't be a great post because I'm having trouble thinking of a response... But I will do my best. Okay?))
Joseph kept his eyes peeled, finishing his drink in a simple manner. He forced his callused, rough hands into leather gloves, tying them tightly to keep them from falling at the wrists with thick hemp. A sigh escaped his thin lips, a hand moving for his leather knapsack near his chair. He forced the bag onto his back, taking a couple dollars out of his jeans pocket and putting them on the counter.
"Thanks for the drink. I'm out of here then." He waved with a simple smirk on his face, washing it away to walk after Lee. "Hey. Lee, right? If you have some time, I was hoping to chat a bit." He put his gloved hand on the other man's shoulder. "You seem to be fairly comfortable with the surroundings here- perhaps too comfortable. You don't seem all that happy for your work- but then again, you can do much better, I'm sure. Shouldn't you have a job that doesn't seem to make you feel like you're in hell on Earth?"
He lifted his hand off of the shoulder, raising it instead so it was near his face, a way he hoped would show he meant no harm. "My name's Joe. I'm what some might say to be a humble traveler. I was hoping you could tell me a bit about the area. The library surprisingly doesn't have much background on this particular area... It's a pain to figure out anything if there's not a book nearby that can tell me. If you have the time, I'd be grateful if you'd tell me some of your stories. It doesn't have to be anything particularly special- just your life in this area. Something you've noticed. Anything would be fine, really."
