Yes, but that thing has to be enough to raise it over the medium level of liking at least a little.
For example, I like how you did your hair style combo, but I don't like the color combo. So, I don't love your avvie altogether. Still, I probably have commented it sooner or later. But in others... Well, I can comment "I like the color you picked", but some are like, seen everywhere right now, and there are three avvies with nearly identical hair styles, and while they're nice, I don't feel like "omg, I must say I love them all right now".
