I like going to conventions.

I have gone to a world costuming convention. That was fun.

I have also gone to the world SF convention - twice I believe.

I like SF conventions because I like to read fantasy novels.

There is usually a lot going on in the larger ones.

There is a video room for anime and giving cheesy things the MSK 3000 treatment.

There is a masquerade (costume contest) for cos-play and original outfits.

A dealers' room for books and things, and an art show with an auction.

A gaming room, and a snack lounge, and lots of pannels for discussing all sorts of topics.
