On sites with good community, stuff like that doesn't happen, even if money is shown. Personally, I have seen many try to bed even if they have enough money. Sure, they can try to hide in trades, but still less chances, less risk at someone starting an exchange trade.
Of course, it's up to Staff and I recall I felt a little awkward at first, too, on another site, but now I can see benefits.

Inventories, yes, but aurum, I don't know.

Actually, people somehow get onwards with "Quest link here: questing this and that" in siggy, too, on sites that don't have neato stuff like that. It all depends on the community, how much they donate and read that stuff, not on the flashiness of showing it.
