Solomon sighed, clenching his hands after dropping them into his pockets again. He quickly calmed himself as she spoke, not really listening to her excuse. Solomon's eyebrow twitched under his thick bangs as she continued to ramble on but he politely responded, "Perhaps..."
As she ran past, his eyes shot open and followed her as she got farther away. He discreetly took a few sniffs at the air. Why do I smell vampire on her? I hadn't been in contact with her long enough...and i don't recognize that scent... The implications her scent was generating simply made him furious.
Most cities had only a handful of vampires living in them, with one vampire being..'King' so to say. With Solomon being in charge of this particular city, any new and roaming vampires must contact him before entering his city. He could only assume, that since this new vampire has not contacted him, that this intruder had intended to either take the town..er..try to take it, or he was newly turned and could cause a disaster for both humans and vampires. Neither of these situations could be allowed.
Solomon had to find out more. He followed the sidewalk towards the school, but remained off it's property limits. Loitering would only make humans suspicious and question him. He was in no mood to deal with them now. With there being a cafe nearby, he grabbed a seat at a table outside, keeping his eyes on the school. Meanwhile, he was doing a quick telepathic search of his city. Each citizen's mind was thoroughly scanned for information, especially the vampires.
This only took him a few hours, and by now, school would be out in less than 3 hours. The lunch hour rush came flooding into the cafe as he finished his sweep. Now he was seething. Had he been mistaken? Or had this newcomer sensed his sweep and fled outside Solomon's territory? His dark eyes narrowed at the school. He demanded answers.
