His smile stayed the same as he leaned back on the lower bed, arms stretching easily behind his head. Staring at the bottom of the upper bed, he closed his eyes before opening one just out of habit. "Just so you know... I fall asleep pretty early. It's become habit for me. So... Don't worry about me if I fall asleep early at night 'kay? Just stay up as you need to and sleep when you need to."

He thought about the things the other boy told him. He couldn't imagine forgetting a whole year- even a portion of it seemed like such a distant idea. "I can't imagine how that must've felt... It's good that you remembered later on. I think painting things probably helped keep the memories coming back... They say that one memory leads to another, right?"
