Mercury Poisoning!

Dirty blonde hair tickled the new students face in an unfamiliar way as she walked up the stairs leading to her dorm. Her head felt lighter without the long silky strands of hair that once cascaded down her to her hips. The lights, harsh and florescent, caught the amber flecks in her dark brown eyes, giving them a the appearance of having been glazed over with gold dust.
Letting out heavy breath the girl who was not a girl looked down at the crumpled piece of paper in her hand. It confirmed that the door in front of her lead to where she would be staying at this new school. Quickly stuffing the paper into her pocket she pulled out her key, letting herself inside.
On a normal day the first thing she would have noticed would be the nice wood furniture, the shower, and the bunk bed. Today, however, her eyes slide to the boy sitting in the room. The boy who would be her roommate. He was handsome and she realized if she were here as herself, Olivia Caulder, she would have been happy to flirt with him. She was not Olivia here. Here she was Oliver. Here she was a boy.
She wondered what this boy would see when he looked at her. She had hidden her femininity as well as she could, but nothing could hide her face, to soft and delicate, and her eyes to wide and framed with naturally thick eyelashes. Would he see through her instantly? Was her being here useless after all? She took a breath. She needed to calm down. However prone to panic Olivia might have been, Oliver was calm.
"Hey, I'm Oliver." She said in soft deep voice. She hoped the softness of her tone would disguise how unnatural the deepness sounded. She walked over, set down her stuff and held out her hand.
