You find out the true face of people who thought you knew at 3 o'clock in the morning. Give them a house, a chance to better themselves, and they're ungrateful asses who can only complain about what they DON'T have.

Or you know, maybe I'M the self-centered one, thinking they should be grateful to my mother for giving them a home and food to eat when their past and/or current actions dictate they deserve nothing from us? Maybe I'M the egotistic, narcissistic asshole who demands more from people than is reasonable. Is it wrong to to jump to defend my mother? IS IT FUCKING WRONG? When she's been bullied at work, at home, to the point of needing a psychiatrist to stay FUCKING SANE? When I can't do anything more for her and feel like just existing is a strain on her own right to happiness?

I'm so sorry she can't bow down to your every fucking whim. I'm sorry that working her ass off, that driving herself to insanity isn't enough for you.

Thanks for the betrayal. Thanks for punching holes in my mother's house and then blaming her when all she's trying to do is make sure we're not ALL on the streets. She deserves more than she'll ever get. She deserves more than you.
