As Luke brooded down the hallway many a vampire stared at him, including Kiara. "What's eating him?" she wondered aloud, walking down the halls a bit further. She too knew that Drake had spilled Aya's blood that night and though she didn't like it the female vampire knew that it was going to happen, not only to keep up his ruse but also because that smell...that sweet smell was nearly irresistible even to her, a veggie vamp. Should it be willingly offered it would take a powerful vampire to reject it, she was just glad the one drinking from the gentle girl was Drake and not one of the others who would suck her dry and leave her for dead.
As Kiara passed by Drake's door however she stopped dead in her tracks. No, that sweet smell couldn't be distinguished anymore, but she could smell something different. Little Aya no longer smelt of chastity, instead...Drake's faint scent had intermingled with the human girl's. With a glimmer of frustration she glared at the door for a moment, turning and walking further down the hallway. "Kowai...you better have not taken advantage of her." she brooded, rather fond of Aya herself in that way and still not trusting to Drake to care for the precious girl. Drake would have a lot to explain. This news would shock many, upset many, and just plain stir up tension and gossip within the school. She was more than his pet for blood, now she was a sex slave as well in their minds...at least those who didn't know the real truth.
Aya had never slept so peacefully before, nothing to plague her mind...just thoughts of Drake to lull her through the night. She really did love him and he truly was unlike any other man. As the night went on she found herself curled up in the sheet even more, snuggled against her love until he woke and moved, causing her to flip onto her back and continue resting unknowingly. No, Aya didn't think they would share that special moment so soon, but everything was perfect...everything was right and there was no doubt in her mind that she would be with Drake forever. Somehow unlike other times...where forever would mean the duration of her life...this really meant forever.
When the sweet dreams finally ended, a warm voice broke the darkness and a tender touch roused her from her sleep. Blinking a few times Aya tried to focus her eyes, smiling softly at Drake's melodic laugh. Finally those bright golden eyes stared up at him clearly and she offered a sweet. "Good Morning Drake." His expression was so kind, his voice so tender and in that moment she once again realized that she wanted to be his forever. "You....made breakfast?" she asked softly before looking down upon her lap where a tray sat and upon that a plate full of delicious looking food. An omelet, bacon, and tater tots all warm and fresh. "Drake, this is so much!" she finally giggled, offering him that warm look of hers before she squirmed up into a siting position, the deep red sheet still covering her like towel wrapped about her slender form.
Slowly she began to ate, trying a bit of everything and then looking up at the vampire amazed. "It's all so delicious!" she exclaimed before eating a bit more, chewing happily in the comfort of his large bed, in the comfort of his company. Once most of the plate was empty she set the tray down carefully, letting out a soft sigh of content and the looking over to Drake once more. "Thank you for breakfast." she whispered, placing a kiss upon his cheek. When she sat back, about to stand and get dressed as well Aya remembered the night he asked her about what she would be willing to do to stay with him and in that instant she looked back into his deep blue eyes.
"Drake...do you remember when you asked if I would be willing to die to stay with you?" she asked him in a soft voice, cheeks slightly flushed from whats he was about to say. Yes, even after making love with Drake Aya was still as easily flustered as ever, as though it was eternal along with her purity of heart and mind. "I would Drake...I would do anything to stay with you, to be able to not age...not die...so that you would never have to be alone again." she whispered, looking to the side slightly. She was being bold with her words yes, something she didn't normally do, but she really did want him to stay with her, for eternity if they could. "Whatever it takes I'll do it...I'll do it."
The moment that Drake saw her golden eyes open, a wide, sweet smile spread on his face. It didn't take him more than a second to have his lips lightly placed against hers, in a light, sweet morning kiss. There seemed to be a nectar of sorts on his lips, making the kiss sweet, something like honey. He lightly rubbed her cheek, shrugging his shoulders. "Why wouldn't I make you breakfast? I have before haven't I?" He sat slowly beside her, the smile still ever so strong on his face. "Besides, you need to eat before class." He nodded his head in a bit of a 'that's final' manner, watching as she ate.
When she finished, he took her tray and the dishes to the kitchen sink, quick enough to be back in time for the kiss she lightly placed on his cheek. He laughed lightly and pulled her close to him, stroking the soft skin on her shoulder. "You're welcome, Aya." He nodded his head, his blue eyes like a deep pool of oceanic water. He gave her the kindest of smiles, the kind of smile he only gave her. When she spoke, his eyes flashed for a moment, and he ran his fingers across her cheek. "I remember." He nodded his head, and slowly moved her into his lap, keeping her in the blankets, as if she were a fragile doll.
"Aya, most humans fear vampires, with every fiber of their being, me more so. Why? Well, I'm an alpha, a pure blood, one of the last pure bloods. That's why even vampires fear me." He continued to gently stroke her shoulder. "But you don't fear me, you never have. Yes, you met me under some strange circumstances, but you never ran, you never showed fear. You've given yourself to me in every way, and you've been obediently dedicated to me." He smiled to her, laughing a little. "You put yourself in danger to protect this secret, us... I can never thank you for that. But that still isn't enough. You want to be mine forever." His eyes saddened for a moment. "And I couldn't bring myself, ever, to change you with the proper bite." He pulled her tighter to his chest, inhaling the scent from her hair.
"Aya, my little Aya, I love you, you know that I do. So, if you want to be with me forever, to remain your young self, as you are now, to stay by my side forever... There is a way I can turn you, without turning you. You would have all my immortality, though you wouldn't live the damned life I do." He smirked a crooked smile, looking down at her face. "The only thing... You would feel any, and all pain that I felt. If I were to die, you would follow. However, if you died... I would be left behind, alone, and I wouldn't follow you in death as you would me." His eyes saddened. "And I can't imagine living in a world without you, and for vampires... Suicide isn't possible." He sighed. "But Aya..." He turned serious and held her tight.
"If you are serious, it's nothing more than a ceremony with the elders, and a goblet of my 'blood', if you can call it that." He nodded his head, looking to her. "You would need to drink my blood at this ceremony, and then the transformation would be quick. No pain." He smiled to her, petting her cheek. "You would be an immortal human. With a heart beat, with blood, with breath..." He looked to her seriously. "I would still be the monster I am now. Aya... Do you chose this life? A life with me?" His eyes seemed almost pained.
Aya could still remember when they first met, when a smile from Drake was as rare as the alignment of the planets. He'd tried to hard to be cold, to push her away with all his might, and now she woke to his smile. How warm a feeling it gave her, just as extreme as the icy chills that plagued others at the sight of his glare. Vampires had always been reputed as cold creatures, heartless, lifeless, but never before had she felt a gaze so warm, a touch so sweet, a kiss so loving. The girl couldn't believe that Drake was damned, that he had no soul, none of the folklore seemed right. He was the man she loved, the vampire she loved and Aya was more than convinced that he was by far the kindest being in all the world, at least to her.
Such an innocent kiss graced her lips, and they tingled at the sweet taste of his affection so early in the morning. Drake was always so proper, gentle, he never pushed her or pressured her, always easing her into everything they did together. Even just the gentle kisses were so entrancing from him, and she was sure any other girl would kill for them...literally. In fact, once they caught wind of Aya's innocence being taken by Drake things would likely be even more frantic around the school, and she wouldn't leave the room without him by her side for a while.
With a soft nod she smiled, knowing all too well that classes would be long as usual. It wasn't too long at all before she was done eating and he was back in the room, pulling her close and making her stomach flutter with butterflies. Curious and ever so innocent golden eyes gazed up at his face before she was moved into his lap, pressed close against his chest with those silken sheets still engulfing her curves. Oh how he cared for her. The human body was fragile, and nobody knew it better than a natural born predator, yet one of those predators cared for her fragile self in a way no human ever had.
The small human girl listened to his words, taking them all in with the utmost attention and giving a soft nod here and reassuring smile there. It sounded like a drastic bond, one in which she would feel his pain and die when he did, it was all she'd want. To be with him was enough for her to sacrifice anything. If it came down to it she would even become a vampire for him. She knew however that he'd never turn her into a being like himself, would never take away her fragile human life. No, he'd likely guard it instead...as though his own life depended on it.
At the look of pain in his eyes, Aya slipped out of his grip and turned to look into those deep blue pools. "Drake...let me feel your pain, so I know when to take it away, let me die with you so I'll never be alone again. Let me stay with you...I want to stay with you just as you are, not a monster...an angel." she whispered to him, eyes watering a bit at the thought of him thinking such things about himself. "I chose this life with you long ago...make me yours in every way." she offered to him, hands gripping to his shirt and eyes looking to him almost desperately. "I love you..." With that Aya let the sheets slip down to her waist, pressing her lips against Drake's in a tender and loving kiss, both hands holding her body as close to his own as she could manage.
When she finally pulled away, Aya was blushing, one hand reaching up to brush across the vampire's cheek. "I'll never leave you." she added, not even paying attention to the fact that they were already a bit late for class at this point. Once they did arrive, they would certainly gain some attention with this new scent.
Drake watched Aya's reactions carefully as he told her everything there was to tell her about becoming his, eternally. He looked out the window momentarily, gatherting his thoughts. When her eyes met his, a bit of a smile haunted his face, though his eyes were still filled with the heavy pain that seemed to plague them. He sighed a little, resting his forehead against hers. "Aya, you don't seem to understand." He was almost whispering now. He gently took her wrists in his arms, holding her hands where they were, looking seriously into her eyes.
"You would be feeling everything I did, EVERYTHING Aya." He shook his little. "In a sense, you will be a human vampire." He looked to her a little more seriously. "My emotional pain. My physical pain. The only difference is you'll be alive. You won't feed on blood. That's the only difference." He rubbed her hands with his thumbs. "I want you to be sure..." He nodded, and before he could come with more thoughts, her noticed the tears in her eyes. His eyes softened, and one hand reached to wipe the water from her beautiful eyes. "Aya... I'm not an angel." He smiled a little. "But you're free to think it." He nodded, and then she said those three words. A little laugh left his lips, and he shook his head.
"Aya you know I love you too." And then graciously, he accepted her kiss, his arms wrapping around the milky flesh of her torso that had been exposed by the traitorous sheets. His hands moved over every visible inch, and when he did pull away, he nestled his cheek to hers. "Then it's settled. I'll make you mine forever." He nodded with a smile. "But for now... We should get to class." He pulled back, looking at her. "Get dressed, and we'll be off. Your books are ready." He nodded before finally pushing her gently to the edge of the bed to get dressed. He got up and prepared himself as well.
By the time they left, Drake was making sure Aya stayed close behind. He knew what the vampires were thinking, he could tell by their gazes. And he knew that Kiara would want a word. He was also positive that Luke would cause him some trouble today. He took short strides, though, a little different with Aya now. Instead of being directly behind... She was off to the side, her hand in his. It seemed that now, he didn't care what people thought, since her scent alone would most likely give it all away.
The way he gripped her hands, the weakness in his voice, Aya understood now more than ever the pain she would feel. The femme knew what she'd be facing with this bond, and knew even more so how reluctant her love was to put her through it all. 'To stay with him, to be this age forever and stay with him...would be worth anything I could give.' she thought to herself, mind made up. "I'm ready Drake...I understand..." she whispered when he wiped away her tears, retaining the idea of him not being a monster. She would never, could never believe that he was a monster and she wished so dearly that he wouldn't either. Her sweet, handsome lover...he was an angel in her eyes.
The kiss was tender, and passionate, his touch sending shivers down the femme's spine and making her heart race. No amount of intimacy could take away these feelings, the timid innocence that Aya possessed. She would always blush that sweet crimson, would always loose her breath at the feeling of Drake's touch, the feeling of his toned body. He was perfection, alluring and confident, with the body of a god and the eyes of a siren. You could tell at first glance that he was a creature designed to lure in others with his charm and good looks. A perfect predator...and yet she never feared him.
With a soft smile she nodded, glad that he had finally given in, that she could be his forever at last. "Oh...I almost forgot!" she added hastily as he set her on the edge of the bed and stood to get himself ready. Once she'd dressed in her uniform and brushed her hair straight they were off, always looking their best the way Drake had taught her. However, this day things were different. All eyes were on the two, glares, confusion, hatred, all of it mingled together in the air, clouding her senses and nearly overwhelming the poor thing.
Just when she was on the brink of turning and running back to the room, a large hand grasped her own, pulling her to the side of the blue haired vampire. With large eyes she looked up at him, confused and a bit worried as well. "D-drake...what will they think of you?" she questioned softly. His reputation had meant so much to the pure blood, and she would go on forever without others knowing of their relationship if she had to. Gently she pulled back to get behind him once more, hesitant to so boldly be his equal in front of the others of his kind. "Are you...sure?"
The click of heels against marble echoed through the hallway as Kiara strutted towards the couple, sizing Drake up with her eyes. Despite his rank, Kiara had always been to bold for her own good. "I can't believe you took it from her!" she demanded, looking positively infuriated at the idea, glancing to the blond girl with gentle eyes before looking back to her 'master'. "You best not hurt her Kowai...especially not after this." she then whispered, a bit more hurt than just a friend should be.
Drake, who was completely ignorant of the looks they were getting, and the whispers filling the air, simply nodded to Aya and kept her at his side. Why? Because he knew what they thought, and it wouldn't matter now, act or not, nothing would affect their made up minds, because her scent had changed, and all would know what that meant. After all, it wasn't every day a vampire fed on a human and kept her alive, and took her innocence in the same night. They knew... And Drake didn't care.
He smiled to Aya, shaking his head. "Whatever they think, it can't be worse than what they are thinking now." He shrugged his shoulders, turning down the first main hallway to their first class. He kept his eyes averted from all overs, doing his best to ignore the glares. It was easy, he didn't really care what they thought or said. But then... The challenge came walking toward them.
When he looked ahead and saw Kiara coming, he sighed under his breath and whispered. "Here we go...". He kept Aya close, looking down to the veggie vamp in front of him. "Kiara, calm down." His tone was deep and serious, almost commanding. "I didn't do anything against her will." He flashed a look to Aya, then back to Kiara. "You should know that I won't hurt her. You're the only one that knows the entire truth, so don't be so quick to bite my head off." His eyes narrowed for a moment. "She's safe, she's happy." He nodded.
Soon, he moved past Kiara, then slowed to turn to her, whispering in her ear. "Just help me with damage control, you know what they're thinking, and you know what they might do." He leaned away from her ear. He knew Kiara had a knack for talking sense into vampires, and he'd need that help eventually, especially with Luke, who with seemingly perfect timing, came strutting down the hall. "Gotta go." Drake winked, grabbing Aya and speeding off with her.
When Luke arrived at Kiara's side, he growled. "Kowai, you bastard..." He huffed, looking down at Kiara. "Yo, veg head, what did he have to say?" He narrowed his eyes. Luke had never been fond of the veggie vamps, and always made that clear. "I know what he did, and I want to know why she's still alive, when she shouldn't be!" He was demanding, though he had no rights nor any power to be.
Drake's never fading confidence, the sureness in his voice and comfort of his touch reassured the human girl. She too looked away from the glares and questioning eyes, focusing only on him, only on the one vampire who mattered as they hurried to their class. She was convinced that nothing could ever make Drake any less regal, no amount of critical stares or hatred could ever being him down from his seat of power in that school. Even if they despised his existence, he was better than them, more powerful, and they had no say in his actions. Still, they would have her head, especially the female vampires, they would tear her limb from limb for 'seducing' the man they all wanted for themselves when to them she was nothing but food.
He'd made up his mind, and graciously Aya nodded, staying close at his side the way she should and keeping her head down as they approached the classroom at last. However, before they could even get to the door, Kiara was on site. The two vampires exchanged words, and Aya simply watched quietly, biting down at her lower lip softly and glancing from one to the other. She couldn't understand why Kiara would be so upset, wondering if she thought that he had forced himself on her. With gentle eyes she looked to the taller female and offered a soft smile and brief nod. "I'm happy Kiara." she reassured quietly.
The veggie vamp was fuming, realizing her feelings for Aya only when that scent wafted through the hall. A man who fed on humans...courting such a sweet and gentle girl. Kiara herself would never harm a human, she'd done her best to keep the golden eyed angel happy, didn't she deserve a chance? Still...even she knew that Aya would never leave his side, she knew that the girl had already devoted herself to him. 'So why do I still want her for my own?' she wondered, shaking her head and looking to that gentle smile for a brief moment. Then came her voice, and the femme lowered her head and returned the smile sadly. Drake's request made her gaze move to the older vampire himself and she pursed her lips for a moment. "Only for her..." was her rather harsh response before the two were off and Luke was already demanding her attention.
With a bit of a scoff, Kiara crossed her arms and looked up to the testy man beside her, smirking slightly at his anger. "He's a pure blood. You do know that means he gets his choice of mate don't you? It was never specified in the law that his mate had to be a vampire...he can still claim Aya to be his mate if he so pleases, and no vampire law can take her away from him." Raising a brow she glanced to his angered face and added "I'd also suggest you keep in mind what he would do to you if she got hurt. He's stronger than you Luke...he always will be..."
Aya was surprised when Drake suddenly pulled her into the classroom, keeping close to his side as they entered through the oak doors. Huffing slightly she glanced around at the only half full room, showing no signs of fear with her 'mate' at her side. "Should I still take your notes today?" she questioned softly, not all too sure of how she should behave now that he'd given up on their act. Still, she would do whatever he said, not only to appease him but to keep their relationship safe.
In that moment, one of the more ravenous vampire women jumped out of her seat and ran for Aya, claws brandished and fangs exposed. The poor girl's eyes grew wide and she gasped, jumping back and away from the attacker as best as she could manage. "S-stop!" she cried out in fear, trembling as she dodged behind Drake, nearly clinging to the back of his coat as the vampire pursued.
