If the village was exactly like his home, then he would be familiar with the surroundings, which should make it easier for him. He'd just slip through the shadows like he normally tried to do whenever he had to move around the village, and he was well aware of all the safe spots. However, the fact that he mentioned that he shouldn't harm the other tengu made him worry because it probably meant that they would pose some sort of threat to him, "You're not going to make this easy, are you?"

Though then there was also the problem with the fact that he had already talked to Toshi and she probably would recognize his voice, and he wasn't sure if Toshi heard animals like she would a normal person, "How does Ai talk to animals? Like normal people? And I must change my voice so that she doesn't suspect me."
