Personally... I think your grandmother is disrespecting YOU by not fully understanding your feelings. You should enlighten her of that.

And at this point, although it is good to respect your elders, you must also make your own "mistakes" whether it will truly be a mistake or not...only the future would decide. Hindering something like that is very uncaring.

I'm not saying to blatantly ignore her. HELL NO. Listen to her points and study whether they are valid or just fear talking. She obviously is concerned about you, so dont shake her off too quickly.

But let her know that respect goes both ways... and in the end... she needs to respect you enough to choose your own future... whether good or bad.
