Start off small. Muscle weighs more than fat, and is much denser, also, just HAVING some muscle will make you lose weight more quickly. I suggest some strength training. Not a lot. Just starting out, maybe about 10 minutes every other day, and add more time to it as you start feeling stronger. Also, walking for 30 minutes, or 15-30 minutes of cardio is also a pretty good start too.

Count your calories as well. Check out you BMI and figure out how many calories you need to maintain your current weight, and then check how many would be needed for your goal weight. Remember, if you are less active, you should eat less calories, but if you are more active, you'll need more calories, or you won't have any energy.

Do NOT starve yourself, and don't try to get into any sort of fad diets. They tell you a bunch of lies and make a lot of money off of your failed attempts to lose weight.
