I already said the story I had in mind once. Which is that she is the chief of a race of forest people with a long-standing feud with the elves. Humans one day lead a crusade against the elves and though we, out of desperation casting aside our very HUGE pride, are rejected sanctuary for she fears it would put the safety of her people at stake.
