Actually, give your page some time to load when putting items on in Internet Explorer.
It happens to be a little bit slower than Firefox or other browsers.
Just give it a minute to register.

Also with Internet Explorer to get to cookies do the following:
Go to the top left and click Tools -> Delete Browsing History
