Local Weirdo
The cafeteria was filled up by the time Draydon got there. He had stayed back for a while, not really wanting to get there too fast. He wasn't sure why... maybe he just didn't want to interact with all the humans in there. Aza was different today also... she seemed more... confident. She wasn't as shy and retiring, even though she stayed quite and kept to herself. It made her all the more desirable. She could be shy and feminine but she could also be strong and fierce.

He shook his head clear of thoughts as he walked over to his usual table full of the football team. The players greeted him with grins but he didn't return them.
"Hey! Cam and Dray, how come neither of you were at practice today?! Were you both enjoying each others company?" one of the players jabbed. The team joined in with his laughter, but Draydon just frowned. He looked over at the other player, Cam, his brow furrowing. This kid had always seemed strange to him, but he couldn't say why. Something was... off about him. His fist involuntarily clenched into a fist, the veins showing through the skin. He shook his head and blinked, sensing that his eyes had started to turn black again. Nobody should have seen, it only happened for a moment. He took a deep breath, trying to let out a tiny amount of his built up energy. The meal last night had left him with excess energy as it always did. Usually after he ate he wouldn't still be around humans and he would be able to get rid of the energy by excessive exercise, like chasing and hunting wild animals or running up and down a mountain. He let out a bit more than he meant to, making the veins stand out on his face and his eyes turn completely black. He dropped his head down quickly, banging it against the table with a loud smash. The other football players jumped up in surprise and then started asking if he was ok and what happened. He kept his head on the table for a few moments so that he could collect himself. He raised his head up off the table and grinned at the surrounding people, now half the cafeteria was staring.
"I'm fine, I guess I still feel sick from before..." he said in his most convincing voice. They looked pretty worried but also... scared. They wouldn't know why they felt scared of course, but he knew it was probably from the amount of energy he hadn't meant to vent out. He sighed inwardly at his clumsiness. He needed to do something about this excess energy, and soon.
