Yeah. My cat Beau (With the bladder infection) has been sick for over a month. The vet gave us anti-biotics that we used up on him, and they didn't work. We used 2 bottles of it as opposed to the one, and he still wasn't better. So he gave us stronger stuff to use.
I was SUPER scared when he first got sick, because we thought his urethra was blocked- and that means death after 24 hours.
