McAfee and Norton are programs that tech nuts will avoid. They have sold themselves out to big companies, so they allow for certain viruses and adware to slip through. Plus it doesn't do that great of a job at cleaning up your problems.

Try to avoid using IE and use something more secure like Mozilla or Chrome. Get Adblock as an extension/add-on, and also LinkExtend or WOT (helps you see if a site is safe to check out, before you go in there).

Free anti-virus programs are good, and can be better than the commercial ones. Like malwarebytes.

And don't use Limewire :3
