Tikno wondered what the meaning was of the name Rail had said earlier. Elenor? Who was that? What meaning did she have to Rail? It had been hard to hear, but Tikno had caught the whispered comment as well, and was also wondering about that. What was Rail's past that he used to torture women and children?

Tikno burned with these questions, but he kept them to himself. This was neither the time nor the place to be asking those kind of things. Instead, Tikno followed along behind Rail, wondering how fair Rail intended to carry the child before they buried it, or cremated it, or whatever Rail was planning to do with it.
