Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even what is right and what is wrong. You might think it is wrong to eat a dog, but someone from another country might enjoy dog as their main dish. It's all on perspective and how we are raised.

In the USA, a woman being whipped by her male family members is not only a taboo, its illegal; but to the Hamer (Ha-Meer) tribe its a right of passage. The Hamer are also concidered the most beautiful of all African women, but to them, the idea of having metal pieces and wire placed in your mouth in order to force your teeth into a certain configuration is a taboo and unheard of, but here having to get braces is rather common.

One mans culture is another's Taboo.
