On in to the future
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, William Taft became the third generation of his family to enter law. Entering Yale as a young man, he quickly excelled and moved onward, receiving a law degree from Cincinnati Law School. His tendencies for procrastination and good natured attitude left a weakness in such a profession but he didn’t give up. He continued as a lawyer for a good time, leading to the rise of Taft’s fame. Following this he represented cases in Supreme Court, winning 15 out of 18. Eventually this growing in ranks would lead to him running for president. Winning the popular vote, he entered office in 1909.
At the end of his presidency in 1913, he became an official Supreme Court Justice.
