Basically All a Vertical Asymptote is where it's all the answers x cannot be... aka where it becomes irrational...

A little diagram will help you understand what is happening when x makes 0 in the denominator on a graph... :)
It's a pretty fun way of doing solutions though really. Actually they are really useful in alot of calculus
