I tried to use linux once, but it lost me, so I never tried again. Didn't seem like the UI was very... well User Friendly as i like to call it, but to each their own really

Well, it's not fair to judge Linux like that. Linux is just the basic operating system. It's not the complete experience like Windows or Mac is. There are literally dozens of different graphical environments available -- GNOME and KDE are of course the big names (if you tried one and didn't like it, try the other) but there are a lot of others (I personally use Fluxbox, and Enlightenment was really nice when I was playing with it). Each distribution feels a little different, unlike with a Mac where every Mac has the same basic feel to it.
