My first avatar was during Closed Beta. Since the only hair colors then were the "basic" greys, and the only real addition of color came from the Seafoam (now Seabreeze) items, the colors were all teal and grey (because I tend to like my avatar's hair matching the avatar itself).

My favorite item was a combo of the Seafoam/breeze chest piece and these ribbons that went underneath the chest piece, along the torso, and elongated into a sort of "skirt". I have no idea why the ribbons weren't included in the Seabreeze items, but I hope they come along eventually.
