So from reading through the thread it sounds like you guys are wanting feedback on this. If that's not the case then please ignore me xD But in case it is, here's my two cents:
I agree the games can do with less aurum per post than other threads. In most of them, there's not as much content. I do disagree with those who say NONE of the games threads have content--some do, and take creative thought. I like those : )
I do think that, personally, I'd maybe put the aurum for a decently-long post at around 10? Where as right now it's at 4. I think that's more fair, because yes, you want people to post in meaningful discussions more than in the games forum, but there are some days when I come home exhausted and I don't want to get into a conversation because I'm not great company at the moment and will probably go to bed fairly quickly. I'd still like to be able to interact with the community on a more basic level (playing games) and get a halfway-decent aurum reward for it. Like the Ask the Person Below You A Question game--that's meaningful because you have to actually read the above question, think about it, answer it, and then come up with a question for the next person. But at the same time I'm not having to get into a continuing discussion when that's not what I'm in the mood for at the moment. You know? : )
Another thought is one that I've seen done on other avatar sites--you make the forum rules so that the content-less games aren't allowed. The basic rule is, if the answer would always be the same for anyone posting (ie. what time is it, count to a million) then it's spam--you can't have that thread. If a counting thread is at 57, no matter who comes in and posts next they're going to say 58. So that's spam, because there's no originality. On the other hand, if you have to use the number in a sentence--"So-and-so is number 58 on such-and-such sports team"--then there's content because you have to actually think about it, and different people would put different answers.
Basically it makes the games so that they require more time, thought, and energy to play--thus making it fair to reward posters more highly.
Anyway, this is just my two cents. If the games forum stays as it is I'm not going to be ridiculously upset. But I do think it would be nice if, in the end, either the cap was raised a bit, or even full aurum could be returned (or maybe half?) if you implement the suggestion I just mentioned as far as the rules go. But all of this is just feedback and suggestions. I'm not trying to force it on anyone : )
EDIT: o.o I made over 51 aurum for this post. I didn't know that was possible xD
