It does get less nerve-wracking the more you do it, ngl. I remember when I was in Driver's Ed, I had a full-on breakdown because I thought I'd never get the hang of it... My instructors were patient with me, and yeah, it took a little extra tutoring and driving practice, but I did pass the class, and got my license... now, 20+ years later, driving is one of my favorite things to do, and if gas wasn't stupidly expensive, I'd go out and just drive around the area, listening to music and just vibing.
I know that's not how it goes for everyone, but I'm glad you were able to persevere and get your license, and I wish you many years of good driving experiences.
