Ugh...the anxiety of "I should call my landlords about x situation*, but what if they use this as a reason to evict me because they're money-hungry assholes who could probably charge a new naive tenant more"

*situation in this case being some random person laying on the floor hallway (presumably sleeping, but I wasn't brave enough to investigate) who might be a tenant who got locked out of their apartment and was waiting until morning to call a locksmith but, more likely, is a transient person who probably got into the "secure" building because people keep leaving the main doors partially open so for the next 5-ish hours I'll be full of the "did this person break into my apartment" anxiety.
