Holy heck this job (at the library) feels like overcompensation for the shit I dealt with at the museum...

I haven't even been at the library a full year yet and I've already applied for and received a promotion from part time clerk to full time specialist. AND the director just asked if I'd want to shift my position some to also do basement/tech service type stuff. Like...at the museum, promoting me to a position I'd flourish in, moreso than janitorial anyway) was like pulling teeth and took most of my time there to even almost happen (I was still never formally hired to work the reception desk, but I was given a decent raise and more hours on reception). Here, they not only see my potential, but they encourage it.
I haven't had a job this good...technically ever but my first job is a pretty close second.
