As the corn stalk starts moving, you slowly back away from bluebird. If that's the person who shall be lunch next, better not stand too close. So you decide to take the new path to your right. The corn stalks start shaking and you hope it's just the wind. Nevertheless you jog faster. Then you reach a dead end, where you meet Major. Just as you want to turn around, a black cat jumps out of the corn wall. Phew, so that was who made them move! Nothing spooky. Upon closer inspection you notice the cat's left ear is bleeding.

Take the cat to the vet at the entrance, or throw her back between the corn stalks because black cats mean bad luck?

As long as bluebird draws all the maze's attention, you might even be safer in his presence than when wandering alone. So you also decide to go straight ahead and follow the same twists and turns.
