It's definitely crazy how that happens!
I've been trying to make sure I stay in contact with my friends I've not talked with in a while. I have (had?) a friend I was really close to for a long time. She was very sweet and she even sent me a homemade quilt she made. And a bible. Although I never read it, I thanked her so much. I think she even wrote in the bible, "I love you, Ava".

I tried hard to stay in contact with her when she left the forum we were a part of... We communicated through email for a good few months. The last email she sent me, she was telling me that she was having heart issues. She was moving too, so that stress didn't help her heart. I sent like three emails since then. I'm so worried about her. We don't have any mutual friends anymore, since we both left that forum. I worry about her every day. I would hate to think she passed away and I never got to say goodbye. :(

I had another friend I used to talk to via Skype. We weren't the closest, but she was super kind. We would talk on and off for a while. But we lost contact...

The next thing I know, like three months later. She ended her life. I found out from a mutual friend who had her on facebook. Also, they posted her obituary on that forum too.

I felt guilty as hell because I should have messaged her more often to let her know that I still cared.

All of us came to the conclusion that her death must've been accidental. We were all on a schizophrenia board, so all of us could completely understand those suicidal urges. Although, this woman was very erratic and from what we all gathered, it was likely she stopped taking her medication... and one thing led to another.

It's hard to keep in contact with people when they leave a site, or the forms of communication change and change. But I find that usually, when I do write a friend I haven't talked to in a while, they're always happy to talk! And we continue on as though there was never a break :D

I'm so happy to see Gizzie again!!!
