why is seasoned laver so addicting. so savory, so good. i can't stop eating even though it cuts my mouth everytiem.

but the hella overpackaging. omg. WHY. i feel so bad eating these bc it's sold in a sturdy box (made from new paper fibers). then it's covered in a plastic sleeve...bag thing and in each plastic bag there are 3 "pods". u open the pod with a pair of scissors to find the laver ladled in a hard plastic tray that's big enough to be a small bowl. all this for 4g of freakin dried seaweed. does this particular company not care about global warming??? i get that the seaweed is very delicate, but u have the sturdy box and the whole thing weighs something slightly heavier than air. it's not like it'll collapse with other airy boxes on top of it?? what is u doin with the xtra plastic tray? the extra mylar material to cover the height of the tray? and the extra sq. inches of that plastic sleeve to cover the whole thing? is this some psychological trick to make it seem like there is more seaweed than there actually is?? i don't feel this packaging is very sustainable either way. i don't want to indirectly make ocean life worse. i won't be buying from this brand in the future no matter how delicious their stuff is.
