This game is a series of five trivia questions according to the chosen theme, with points awarded for correctness, quickness, and thoroughness. Each question is closed after first five people have submitted guesses, or one hour after at least two people have guessed. Everyone who was correct gets ten berries. The first person to guess correctly gets an additional twenty berries. The first point to guess correctly and most thoroughly gets an additional thirty berries.
Here's how it works:
A theme is chosen. For example's sake, let's say the topic is 'Beverages'. The first question posed is: 'This soda has a gum named after it.'
The first person guesses 'Big Red'.
The second person guesses 'Jolt'.
The third person did a google search and went with 'Marukawa Bubble Gum'.
The first person is actually wrong. While there is a Big Red soda, it came after the gum, so the gum couldn't be named after it. They don't get any points. The second person is correct. Jolt is a soda, and it had a gum named after it. The third person is not correct. While Marukawa does have a Pepsi bubble gum flavor, it's not the name of the gum itself. So the second person gets berriess for all three categories, being the only one to qualify for anything in the first place.
But it doesn't end there. At any point during the event, any of the first five guessers (or however many qualified; for this example, three) may challenge my results. We'll say the third guesser objects, because the soda is called Jolt Cola and the gum is called Jolt Energy Gum. While I didn't really consider this a game-changer, the third guesser persuasively points out that this isn't that much different than Pepsi-flavored gum under a different brand. After some contemplation, I agree, and award them ten berries, which is what they would have had if I had judged them to be correct from the start.
Please note: I will never take away berries, even if it turns out later I judged incorrectly, but I may award additional berries to those who would have been considered the actual winners. This could result in a tie-breaker at the end of the game, addressed below.
And Sometimes Y:
At the end of each game, the person with the most berries wins double what they have. Due to how the game is played, ties can most certainly occur. In this case, I will pose a scavenger hunt. The person who finds the best picture to encapsulate the theme of that particular game will win the double bonus. You may submit it privately, but I will show all pictures when I make a decision. Please keep the Trisphee ToS in mind when hunting images.
Extra Credit:
If you participated in the game for any of the questions, and think you can come up with a picture that encapsulates the theme, you can still win double what you actually made for that particular game--provided you can get at least one other guesser to try and find one, as well. This will last until the end of the event, so don't worry about running out of time. In the case of a tie-breaker, while you won't stop them from getting double berries, you still have to beat their submissions to get double berries as well.
