A*DIC*TED
So the problem I have with almonds (and also Walnuts) is that in the United States they're primarily grown in California, which would be fine except Cali is basically in a constant state of drought. Almond trees require a LOT of water to produce decent quality almonds. There's a figure going around that says as much as 1 gallon of water is needed per nut for the tree to produce properly, but that isn't really a scientifically tested estimate.Regardless of the actual numbers, the truth is that they're really just not (in the US anyway) an ecologically friendly option.

Cashew trees aren't a whole lot better, but they are imported from places outside the US more often than almonds so they're not drawing resources from an already overtaxed drought prone area.

Since you're not in the US this probably doesn't effect you at all, mdom lol

You'll always feel it, but can never see it. It's strong but shatters easily. You can give it away but never hold it. What is it?

Pm me the answer, no cheating please!
