If anyone ever had "admin fear" where they're always nervous around the upper staff of a site, they really should come here. You guys are hilariously awesome.

Once upon a time, I was an admin of a rather large Zelda fansite. People, I discovered, were scared of me. It was disconcerting, so I tried to change that.

I try hard to not be the scary and unapproachable leader person. It's not as if it would kill me to respond to people, and if I stay aloof of everything, there's less I can do! (And since I actually do a large percentage of the development of the site, the more I interact, the more I see things that I think, "THIS SHOULD BE BETTER.")


Similarly, I'm always super confused when I hear about people running popular places being ban crazy about people saying negative things. I always think, BUT WHY? smh
