Remember that unless she confesses, innocent until proven guilty. I would be wary if you really think that they did it, but don't let that leech the kindness from you. She's going to go through hell either way, people will always judge her even if she is proven innocent, so if possible for you to do so, reach out and let her know that while you still don't know how to feel about the situation you want to give her the benefit of the doubt.

As for your own feelings about the situation, if she does end up being guilty is it a crime that you cannot forgive and have to distance yourself from her for your own mental well being? If so, don't feel bad about it. Everyone had choices to make and in the end you have to take care of yourself before you can care for other people. Maybe in the future you two can smooth things back out if you feel the need to, but if not, that may be okay too. People come and go, but you have to live with yourself for the rest of your life. Try to do right by yourself so long as you are not unruly harming others.
