well, it really IS for the younger kids. trick or treating at the zoo....but there's also other things to do and it's one of the rare chances to be there during dark.
Don your costume, bring your trick-or-treat bag and
flashlight to the wildest Halloween event in town. It’ll be a frightfully good time!
Animal exhibits close at 8:30 p.m.
ACTIVITIES include:
Haunted fun house, ages 6 and up (Lodge at Moose Lake),
Spooky graveyard (Scutes Family Gallery),
trick-or-treat at spooky treat stations (throughout),
Boo carousel,
Pirates Cove (Australia Walkabout),
lighted Pumpkin Patch (My Big Backyard),
select animal exhibits are open, including giraffe, African lions, elephant barn, Monkey Pavilion, Scutes Family Gallery, Australia Walkabout, The Loft and the Goat Experience.

5:30 p.m. Elephant Enrichment (Encounter Africa)

6:30 p.m. Lion Enrichment (Lower-level Lions)
SUNDAYS – October 22 & 29
5:30 p.m. Coati Enrichment (Monkey Pavilion)
6:30 p.m. Lion Enrichment (Lower-Level Lions)
TUESDAY – October 31
5:30 p.m. Elephant Enrichment (Encounter Africa)

ANIMAL MEET & GREETS for BOO:
Nightly experiences with BOOTastic animals and an animal artifact station!
SAFARI CABIN – New animals every 45 minutes beginning at 4:15 p.m., 5, 5:45, 6:30 and 7:15 p.m.
THE LOFT – Encounter Loft animals until 8:30 p.m.
to me...that sounds fun. but she has issues (as do i) with crowds. but if you really want something, you just suck it up and go. but since i don't drive, i have to go where she wants. and she does NOT want to go there until christmas time for the electric safari.
